Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this symposium, the participant should be able to:

1. Identify methods of coronary interventions targeted toward the treatment of STEMI, including results of clinical trials, new guidelines, and technical tips
2. Discuss clinical data for primary PCI and hold comprehensive discussions about updated ACC/AHA D2B time guidelines
3. Improve D2B strategies by learning from the experience of large centers with population-based STEMI programs of triage and treatment for STEMI
4. Implement simulation techniques for deconstruction of the STEMI chaos and reduction in D2B times
5. Obtain STEMI/EKG certification by attending an EKG training course
6. Enhance D2B performance by understanding EMS, ED, and nursing perspectives about STEMI interventions
7. Refine data collection, feedback, and management skills for STEMI interventions
